During the month of September, over 700 restaurants in Italy and hundreds more around the world – including Dante– joined forces to help the victims of the Amatrice, Italy earthquake by serving the classic dish that made the mountain village famous. The response was incredible and we are thrilled to announce that we sold 184 Bucatini all’Amatriciana in September to raise $552 in donations for the cause. But we weren’t done yet…
As you may know, the area was hit again multiple times last month with powerful aftershocks. On October 26th, we hosted our #EatForItaly Amatrice Wine Dinner with Sommelier Adam Weber to raise even more funds for the victims of the earthquakes. We are thrilled to announce that we were able to raise an additional $260 with the event and through our generous guests, an extra $300 was donated.
All of the donations raised will be given to victims of the Amatrice Earthquake via the Italian Red Cross. With your help, Dante will be sending a grand total of $1,112 to help the villagers and their recovery efforts. Thank You Omaha, for making it possible for Dante and our great city to participate and help with the global #EatForItaly efforts!
