Wine Week is back with Federica Zeni!
Chef & Owner, Nick Strawhecker is currently in Italy visiting Federica Zeni, who will be at Dante in two weeks! From her home to ours, we are thrilled to welcome Federica to Omaha & Dante! On Thursday the 27th, Federica will be joining us for an amazing ALL PASTA five course & five pour dinner, where Federica will be pouring some of the 31 wines her family produces. Well spoken and charismatic, Federica represents the heritage of her family that has produced wine in the Verona region for over 150 years, and we look forward to a very delicious and enjoyable wine week!
Zeni Wine Dinner l Thursday, October 27th

Join us on October 27th, for this special five course & five pour ALL PASTAdinner featuring cuisine inspired by the area around Lake Garda and the Valpolicella Valley. Our extraordinary house-made pasta is the star of this menu, each course expertly paired with Zeni wine.
Menu (subject to ingredient availability):
Truffle Tajarin l thinly hand cut pasta, light & foamy parmigiana sauce w/ freshly shaved truffle
Corzetti l hand-stamped pasta w/ pheasant sugo & gremolata
Squid Ink Tortellini l langoustine
Gnocchi l pressed oxtail
Cocoa Caramelle l caramelised onion & gorgonzola dolce
Drinking wine from a 150 year old vineyard means you’re drinking bottled tradition and Zeni prides themselves on their separate vinification process of the grapes from their different vineyards. This process is more labor intensive and costly, and gives their wines more local character. Zeni wine is not highly exported, so all wines will be unique and hard to find.
Reservations are at your discretion, between 6:00 and 9:00, $160 per person.
Wine School: Wines of Lake Garda l Saturday, October 22nd, 2:00pm
Lake Garda, with its picturesque landscapes, beaches and villages along the shores, is home to some of the most interesting and complex wines that Italy has to offer. Three regions, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige and Lombardy, all share borders with this massive lake. The proximity to the Alps in the north and immense size, create a microclimate that allows for wines like Lugana, Bardolino and Chiaretto (to name a few) which are some of the liveliest and most unique wines that Italy has to offer. Join IWP and Dante Sommelier, Adam Weber, as he guides you through a journey of Lake Garda. Tickets are $40 and must be pre-purchased.
Try Before You Buy: Northern Italian Wine l Sunday, October 30th, 12:00-4:00pm
This casual, free form walk around wine tasting allows you to try over 25+ wines before you buy them. It’s a fantastic way to find new and interesting bottles in a fun and lively setting! You’ll be guided on this diy wine tasting by local area professionals who will take you on a tour of Northern Italian Wines. Tickets are $25 and include unlimited wine tasting, small bites and education from Omaha’s top wine professionals. Tickets are available for purchase on OpenTable and also day of at the door. Wine will be ordered and Dante will arrange for pick up at a later date.
