Seth Lacy Head Chef

We are thrilled to announce Seth Lacy as the new Head Chef at Dante! Seth’s journey with us began on a serendipitous Saturday afternoon drive around Omaha in 2010, where a simple stop for a Peroni and a taste of our handmade sausage and orecchiette dish sparked his culinary curiosity. Intrigued by the attention to detail, he promptly inquired about a job application and two weeks later, Seth found himself in our kitchen, embarking on a culinary adventure that would shape his career. Over the years, he has grown alongside Dante, witnessing milestones like the birth of his daughter Ava, who will soon be a teenager! Seth has honed his skills alongside other esteemed former Dante chefs, including Ben Maides, Jake Newton, Dan Watts, Kyle Anderson, which contributed to our rich culinary legacy. Despite brief stints elsewhere, Seth’s heart has always been drawn back to Dante, due to our ever-changing menu and the creative freedom it offers. Outside the kitchen, Seth enjoys re-watching Curb Your Enthusiasm, attending concerts, fishing with Ava, and cheering on the Huskers. Join us in welcoming Seth to his new role as Head Chef, where he will undoubtedly continue to elevate your Dante dining experience!

Juan Ramirez Assistant General Manager

We are excited to announce Juan Ramirez as the new Assistant General Manager at Dante! Born and raised in Colombia, Juan brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role. With a master’s degree in Manager Information Systems, Juan and his husband Sean relocated to Omaha in 2021 after stints in Seattle and Boston. Joining Dante in 2022 as a server, Juan quickly ascended to lead bartender before stepping into his current position. His passion for hospitality shines through as he fosters relationships with our valued guests, treating each visit as if welcoming friends into his own home. Beyond the restaurant, Juan finds joy in playing with his dogs, Luka and Kalvin, indulging in woodworking, and indulging his shopping habit (fun fact: he owns over 80 pairs of sunglasses!). Dante is fortunate to have Juan’s expertise and warmth enriching our team and guest experiences. Cheers to Juan’s continued success with us!
