Morel mushrooms, those fleeting fungi only in season for a few weeks each spring, are back, which means Dante’s annual morel mushroom dinner is back, too.
Chef Nick Strawhecker will prepare four courses, each featuring morels, which will be paired with four white Italian wines. Morels have an earthy hazelnut flavor and smoky aroma, and are generally foraged in the wild.
The dinner will take place at the restaurant’s west location, 16901 Wright Plaza, on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The dinner is $95 a diner, before tax and tip, and seating is limited. The restaurant expects the event to sell out.
